About me

Why, in Kermit's name, do you want to read all about me, when there are so many more interesting things you could be reading about?

Oh well, if you insist... Don't say I never warned you.

My name is Graham Holland, and I live in Liverpool, UK. I have a wonderful partner, Richard, who makes my life complete.

I was born at a very early age at Liverpool's Broadgreen Hospital way back in 1969. To celebrate this fact the Number One record changed from Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg singing "Je T'Aime... Moi Non Plus" to Bobbie Gentry's version of "I'll Never Fall In Love Again". 1969 was a memorable year in history as it was the last year of the Swinging Sixties. The Seventies tried swinging, but ended up just rocking a bit.

In the year I was born Concorde celebrated it's maiden flight; Paul married Linda and broke countless hearts around the world; de Gaulle resigned as President of somewhere or other; humans went to the moon - twice; British troops were sent into Northern Ireland for a "limited operation"; and the world's first heptagonal coin - the 50p piece - began circulation. Wow! They don't make history like that any more...

I did all the normal stuff that children are supposed to do. I went to school and learned some stuff, I got sick but always got better, I shot lots of my friends and they shot me back, I enjoyed Christmases and birthdays but hated having to sit down and write thank-you letters, I loved my sisters but still tormented them, I loved my parents even when they smacked me for doing something wrong, and I have wonderful memories of family holidays even though we never once went abroad.

Now that I'm older and hopefully wiser I'd like to think I've learned a few of life's lessons along the way. As an adult I'm into 'stuff', as you can see from the websites I've created, the links on my links page, and the rest of this website. This stuff includes poetry, acoustic music, Scouting, website-building, Internet, reading, and podcasting.
